I work in a Walmart Fabric Department.
Before that I shopped the Fabric Department.
In fact, that was the only reason I dare step foot into a Walmart.
Even now, I don't "shop" at Walmart for much besides fabric and paper goods.
Walmart is in the process of closing it's Fabric Departments.
There will be NO more fabric CUT to order.

Tell the HOME OFFICE what you want.
Calling your local store will not work.
Talking to the Department Managers and Local Store Managers will not work.
ONLINE PETITIONS WILL NOT WORK !
Petitions will only circulate Online.
In fact this "flight" is very secretive because of the uproar over the warehouse full of "pre cut" fabric that Walmart tried to unload in their Fabric Departments a few years ago.
So secretive that the Department Managers are not being informed until the last moment. Walmart expects the people who work in the Fabric Departments to just accept that suddenly there will be no Fabric in Fabric and Crafts.
We are supposed to be happy about the changes. We are supposed to continue cutting Fabric for customers without letting them know that very soon Fabric being cut will be a memory.
We are supposed to deny it and say only in certain parts of the country, or say not here, not yet. Before that we were told to say it was only a rumor.
One day customers will walk into the department and find party supplies in place of fabric. No warning, no input, no consideration.
We are to be called a "Celebration" Department.
Gone will be Fabric Cut by the Yard, in will come party supplies.
Even Less Customer Service.
The only thing that might work is to call the HOME OFFICE.

Do you own Walmart Stock? With the Fabric Department being phased out over the next few years the stock will only go down as less shoppers have a reason to enter the store.
